July Furniture Drive to Benefit Flood Victims
The Purple Cow is hosting a July Furniture Drive to benefit flood victims and the local homeless community through the Christian Outreach Center. As we near the anniversary of the August 2016 flood, we can celebrate the progress our city has made by participating in this event.

A kitchen table donation gives a flood victim more than just a place to eat. It is a gatherer of loved ones, and invites families to sit face-to-face and share life and food together.
A sofa donation gives a flood victim more than just a comfortable place to sit. It is where we allow ourselves to rest, unwind and sink into the warm company of others.
A bed donation gives a flood victim more than just a resting place. It gives our lives stability when it becomes the place we start and end our days.
Every furniture donation made to The Purple Cow has a double impact on the community:
Impact 1. Helps flood victims furnish their new and/or remodeled homes by obtaining affordable furniture.
Impact 2.Helps the homeless community of Baton Rouge through the Christian Outreach Center. You can help struggling families- who need a hand up, not a hand out, to meet the challenges of everyday living.
How to donate furniture to The Purple Cow:
Step 1: Bring your gently used furniture items to a Purple Cow location during store hours. If you have large furniture donations, a pick up can be arranged!
Step 2: Ring the bell at the back door of the Purple Cow location.
Step 3: Let the dedicated donation support person help you sort through your items and provide you with a receipt for your tax records.
