Today is our Grocery 🛒 Assistance Program at the Christian Outreach Center, our parent organization. We are sending out dry goods 📦 to 140+ food-insecure households in the community. GIVING TUESDAY is today. Our parent organization is the Christian Outreach Center, and we exist to help those in the local community who are experiencing hardship. Our largest Essential Services program is our weekly Grocery Assistance Program, where groceries are home-delivered to food insecure households primarily in 70802 and 70805. We also provide Sustainability Services through our job readiness training and financial education classes in North Baton Rouge and at East Baton Rouge Parish Prison.
